It seems to me what is called for is an exquisite balance between two conflicting needs: the most skeptical scrutiny of all hypotheses that are served up to us and at the same time a great openness to new ideas. If you are only skeptical, then no new ideas make it through to you. On the other hand, if you are open to the point of gullibility and have not an ounce of skeptical sense in you, then you cannot distinguish useful ideas from the worthless ones. (1987 lecture "The Burden of Skepticism")

  1. What is said is so true. I tend to be skeptical becos i do not take things on face value and seem to question alot. Whilst my business partner is ra ra with everything. In business we need to make right choices, but why do I feel like a wet blanket all the time.

  2. I think that doubt is just not being confident in yourself to make the right decision. Especially when it comes to business decisions, you just need to know that you know what's best and be confident in your decision making.

  3. "Do what you will, this Life's a Fiction
    And is made up of
    Contradiction" - William Blake.

Don't overthink.. we do too much already...

    Take it easy

  4. truest thing i've heard in a long time
