I believe that sometimes people are intimidated by life and so they sit around all day talking and philosophizing about it instead of going out and living it. I know that this train of thought is a little hypocritical on my part, seeing as though right now i'm sitting at my computer writing about it. Although I believe some people were born to think and ask questions about life and others were meant to live and discover life. And of course the exceptions who are destined for both.

Perhaps, but some do but others can do both- look at Sartre & Breton. In my mind - two great minds who blended both living & staring into the void.
